Part of the Pasculano Collaborative for Contemporary Dance

Vocalist Bárbara Martínez and guitarist Albert Alabedra lead the ALBA Musik project, an NYC-based music collective that blends traditional Latin dance and music with contemporary instrumentation, vivacious poetry, and modern songwriting. Their passionate performances honor flamenco’s lineage while opening space for new stories, textures, and sonic landscapes that remain deeply grounded in the language of historic flamenco palos. Flamenco dance in dialogue with voice and guitar is an integral force within the band's concerts, embodying all the physical and emotional depth that defines the tradition. ALBA Musik has toured internationally, played shows at the United Nations and for the President of Spain, and received first-round Grammy Award consideration in the Latin Pop and Global Music category for three consecutive years.
