Founded by the storied Taiwanese percussionist Ju Tzong-Ching, the Ju Percussion Group has developed an international reputation as musical innovators with their fusion of Eastern and Western traditions presented in theatrical fashion. The virtuosic 20-person ensemble is renowned for its flair in performing contemporary compositions with classical precision. Since 1986, Ju Percussion has held over 3,500 concerts in 37 countries, establishing themselves as one of Taiwan's premiere artistic ambassadors and most diligent musical educators. To honor their 40-year anniversary, Lincoln Center will host a return engagement of the charismatic company that The New York Times calls "dedicated and vibrant" for a live performance of original work crafted by Ju Percussion's trio of in-residence composers.
