Bogotá's Nicolás y Los Fumadores make their U.S. debut as part of Lincoln Center's Festival of Firsts—the fifth annual series dedicated to exploring new artistic territories, unique collaborations, and premiere performances. The alt-rock quartet has a loyal following in Colombia's underground music scene and has been gaining broader attention—including a performance at the legendary Rock al Parque in 2024—for their blend of post-punk, Colombian, and Argentinian rock influences. Taking inspiration from the likes of Mac DeMarco, Nicolás y los Fumadores's introspective lyricism grapples with the realities of life in the Colombian capital as well as universal experiences such as the transition into adulthood. Gather at the Atrium to sing along with this cadre of indie poets.
