Enjoy a weekend of contemporary Portuguese arts that showcases a taste of the country's engaging cultural offerings. Portugal Weekend begins on Friday with the New York Portuguese Short Film Festival, which aims to increase dialogue and visibility for the nation's cinema industry. The film festival will be followed by contemporary dance performances by Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo. The night will end with a performance by Noiserv, the long-standing musical project of Lisbon-based multi-instrumentalist David Santos, often described as a “one-man orchestra” due to his self-contained compositional and performance approach. Whatever artform piques your interest, this two-day series offers something for everyone.

Contemporary Portugal at Lincoln Center is presented in collaboration with Arte Institute with additional artist support from Embassy of Portugal in Washington, D.C., Consulate General of Portugal in New York, DGACCP, TAP Air Portugal, RHI Initiative, Pestana Group Hotel,  Fundação GDA, and the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD).

The David Rubenstein Atrium is open daily to the public and for weekly scheduled events; entry is always free and tickets are not required.
