Lincoln Center’s sophomore season of Songwriter/Storyteller champions innovators of the singer-songwriter genre, celebrating the craft and artistry central to their work. Born in Munich and raised between cities including Madrid, Dubai, Shanghai, and Barcelona, Victoria Canal developed an early passion for music through classical piano and vocal training before moving into songwriting as a teenager. Her debut album, 2025's Slowly It Dawns, features the hit singles "June Baby" and "swan song," the latter of which Clash Music Magazine calls "intensely personal, touching, and tender." A voice for women’s rights, and disability and queer representation, Canal will present songs from Slowly It Dawns and music from her forthcoming sophomore LP in this intimate Lincoln Center debut.
