De Papel (Of Paper) is an invitation to play—exploring the relationship between puppet and puppeteer and embracing the bond that emerges with an audience. Through interactive play, a paper puppet comes to life, gradually revealing a fragile and poetic connection to childhood. Chilean-based company Silencio Blanco has distinguished itself for its meticulous work with highly expressive puppets, constructed from everyday materials, including newspaper and chopsticks. The emotional eloquence of these heartfelt creations has fueled the company’s international popularity among children and their families.
